Akai S3000xl - Formatting & Partition SD Card

To prepare your SD Card without a SCSI Card or Software:

  1. First make sure the SD Card Is inserted into the SCSCI2SD Board, and then switch on Sampler.
  2. Push the save button on front to take up menu, (as seen on the picture above)
  3. Next Push F5 for SCSI menu, and select whatever scsi id for this example say 2 by using the Data Wheel. (setting up SCSI Devices)
  4. Go back to save menu pushing F1, under Hard Partitions set size: 60mb and max: to 9, and then press F7 to Format, 
  5. What this does splits the SCSI Device 2 into 9 partitions with each partition at 60mb in size, 
  6. This format is mostly how sample CD's are created.
